Restormel Manor House, Lostwithiel, Cornwal is one of the most historic and cherished houses owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and sits within the heart of the Duchy of Cornwall's historic estate approximately 1 mile from the attractive medieval town of Lostwithiel. The Manor is located in unspoilt countryside at the head of the beautiful Fowey valley and nestles beside the river Fowey, overlooked by Restormel Castle.

A perfect retreat surrounded by extensive woodland walks, close to Cornwall's beautiful South coast and within easy travel distance of the rugged North coast, Restormel Manor is perfect for a large party or special celebration.

Restormel Manor is approximately 500 years old and sits on the site of the Holy Trinity Chapel. Painstakingly refurbished, the Manor will be available for let from July 2009. The Manor has been extensively refurbished and great care has been taken to retain the character of the property and historic features. The interior is beautifully furnished to suit the style of the property with a mixture of period and contemporary furniture.

Restormel Manor comprises 3 separate wings of the main Manor house which can be let to a single party, accommodating up to 18 plus cots.

Heating and hot water are supplied from a wood chip boiler and our electricity is only provided from a renewable source.

Restormel Manor accommodation comprises 3 sitting rooms, dining room, 3 kitchens, boot rooms, cloak rooms, larders, 5 double bedrooms of which 3 are en suite, 4 twin bedrooms with 1 en suite, 2 further bathrooms and a shower room.

Private garden areas have been created to the side and rear of Restormel Manor with beautiful views over parkland to the front and the river Fowey to the side and rear. Garden furniture, and barbecues are provided. 

The interior of the Manor has been carefully refurbished to retain the traditional character of the property whilst providing a comfortable, well equipped and homely base for an enjoyable holiday.

The Manor can be let in 3 separate units and if the entire house is taken by 1 party, there are ample facilities to allow peace and quiet if required. There are 3 kitchens and 3 sitting rooms within the property.

Smoking within the house is not permitted.

No dogs.

Facilities
Rain or shine there are plenty of activities available at Restormel Manor. There are leisure facilities within a secure field close by but screened from the Manor comprising all weather tennis court, outdoor play area with quality adventure type play equipment, an indoor games room with table tennis, table football, pool table etc and an indoor heated swimming pool. The swimming pool is open from 7am to 9pm.

Fishing
The River Fowey has an excellent reputation for sea trout and salmon fishing and guests can enjoy fishing from Lostwithiel to Fowey subject to normal NRA permit requirements.

Golf
There are many excellent golf courses in Cornwall including Lostwithiel Golf Club which adjoins our Restormel Estate. The nearly 6,000 yard par 72 course was established in 1991 and offers both a challenge to the accomplished player and the beginner. The challenging front nine rewards you with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, while the picturesque back nine runs through parkland, flanked by River Fowey, allowing you to enjoy the views and not just the golf.
